TSD-312 Girl’s Yoked Bodice dress has a yoked bodice with a round neckline and fitted waistband. It is meant to be worn as daily wear, or dressed up with a little ribbon or trim, it is suitable for a better dress. Options include both a bishop (shirt-style) and a coat sleeve. Instructions include growth tucks and hem bands to adjust the length of the skirt. Meant to be worn by girls from the age of 5 or 6 up until they graduate to adult clothing.
Pattern Requirements:
For Basic Dress:
Size 6 and 8: 3 – 3 ¼ yards 45 “ wide fabric
Size 10 and 12: 3 ½ - 4 yards 45” wide fabric
Size 14: 5 yards 45” wide fabric
If you desire a contrasting fabric hem, cuffs, stripes and waistband:
¾ - 1 yard 45” wide contrasting fabric.
6 –10 -- ½” glass, mother-of-pearl, wood or bone buttons for back and cuffs.
Ribbon, Soutache or other braid for trim if desired. (The skirt is 90” around for Sizes 6 –12 and 135” around for Size 14.) This should help you estimate any trims needed.
